Featured Artist: Jordan Biel
Twenty-five year old worship leader Jordan Biel lives in Cortland, Ohio where he is the worship and youth pastor at Rock of Grace Family Ministries (about 375 attend). Jordan has been a worship leader now for 4 years, since being inspired by Lindel Cooley and Tony Hooper at Browsnville College.
Jordan's favorite music includes Delrious, Phil Wickam, Lincoln Brewster and Chris Tomlin.
The Gear... Jordan plays Line 6 amp and effects and Fender Amps, a hollow-body G&L Telecaster ASAT-Z3 - it's got incredible tone and versatility - and Echo-Park and Digitech effects, the Jimi Hendrix Wah, the Boss Blues Driver and MXR for distortion. His first album was recorded in a basement, with only 8 tracks. His second album used Sony Vegas. And his next album will be recorded in a real studio, Central8 in Akron, Ohio.
Jordan's advice... Keep your prayer and devotion time with God consisent - that's where great songs are written and great anointing to lead is received. There's no excuse for being lazy. Take time to rehearse with your band and get the song right - not good enough, but great. "Do everything as unto the Lord." That means getting everybody's music prepared and on their stands - being the same music and organized. Your team should love to come and worship with you - they shouldn't be frustrated by papers short of lyrics or chords or lyrics so small they cant read them.
